Alphabet Game

This game can be played as a group, or in competition with another person, or in teams. Everyone looks for letters of the alphabet (in order from A to Z) on signs, license plates, trucks, etc. Call each letter out as you see it and then move on to the next. The first one to reach the end of the alphabet wins.

Slug Bug

Every time a VW Bug comes into view, the first one to see it shouts "Slug Bug!" and slugs (lightly!) the person sitting next to you. Or you can just shout out “Slug Bug!” and not actually do the slugging!

All Ages • 2 or More Players • Competitive

Claps

One person is the leader and begins counting out loud: one, two, three, etc. The players and the leader clap their hands every time the leader says a number divisible by five. The leader tries to trick the players by sometimes clapping at the wrong time. Anyone who claps at the wrong time is eliminated, and the last person is the winner and gets to be the next clapper. For a more difficult version, try clapping at numbers divisible by three, four, seven, etc.

Ages 6 and Older • 3 or More Players • Competitive • Educational

Group Story

Tell a long story, with each person contributing a few sentences at a time. One person starts out, then the next person continues the story and hands it off to the next person, etc.
