Hum Hum

One person thinks of item that is inside the car. The other players take turns guessing the item. While the players are guessing, the person who thought of the item should hum the entire time. If the guess is far away from the correct item, then the humming should be quiet. If it is close to the item, the humming should be loud. The first person to guess the correct item is the winner and gets to think up the next item.

Simon Says

Play an in-car game of “Simon Says.” One person is Simon and acts out and calls out the commands, starting with “Simon Says.” For instance, “Simon Says touch your nose,” “Simon Says wiggle your tongue,” “Simon Says clap four times,” etc. Everyone once in a while, Simon should act out and say a command but not say “Simon Says” beforehand. If a player still performs the action they get a penalty point. Once you have three penalty points you are out of the game. The last player left is the winner and gets to be the next Simon.

This game can be played as a group, or in competition with another person, or in teams. Everyone looks for letters of the alphabet (in order from A to Z) on signs, license plates, trucks, etc. Call each letter out as you see it and then move on to the next. Slug Bug

Every time a VW Bug comes into view, the first one to see it shouts "Slug Bug!" and slugs (lightly!) the person sitting next to you. Or you can just shout out “Slug Bug!” and not actually do the slugging!
